The Erasmus+ STT Mobility of the employees from our Higher Vocational College was conducted with the purpose of establishing international collaboration between our school and companies where our students would have the opportunity to engage in a mandatory 12-week study internship. Eleven employees visited Lisbon from May 15th to May 19th 2023.
The Erasmus+ STT Mobility programme was organized by Euroyouth Agency, a specialized agency in project management for European programmes in the fields of education, training, employment, and local development. Established in 2002 and headquartered in Lisbon, their mission is to contribute to borderless education and training, promote and participate in European networks and projects for education, training and lifelong learning. They are international partners in mobility projects, hosting young people and adults for whom they offer high-quality personalized educational programmes. They offer comprehensive support including monitoring, evaluation, certification and logistical assistance.
ATLAS Informatica, founded in 1992 and located in central Lisbon, provides technical assistance services in computer systems, data networks, management software and web design.
ISTEC – Instituto Superior de Tecnologias Avançadas offers specialized study programmes in computer science and informatics, such as Mobile Application Development, Multimedia, Web Security, Computer Systems and Networks etc. A part of their educational activities is higher vocational education. It is a two-year programme leading to an engineering diploma. The first three semesters focus on practical training, with 70% of the curriculum dedicated to hands-on experience, including various laboratory workshops. The final semester includes an internship in companies and organizations, enabling students to apply their acquired knowledge in professional settings.
We also visited Quinta Pedagógica dos Olivias, an organization dedicated to rural development. Established in 1996, it emerged from the growing demand for nature experiences and the need to preserve rural life. Located in Lisbon, it serves as a bridge between urban and rural environment, attracting over 160,000 visitors annually. It is an educational farm that focuses on informal education about environmental preservation and healthy lifestyle.
Founded in 1996, WORTEN is a leading retail company in electronic and household appliances in Portugal. With an extensive network of over 150 stores spread across the country, they offer a wide range of products, including computers, mobile phones, televisions, audio and video equipment, household appliances, gaming consoles etc. In addition to product sales, Worten provides various services, such as delivery, installation, repairs and extended warranties. Their goal is to offer comprehensive and customized services to meet customers’ needs.
During the Erasmus+ STT mobility, fruitful discussions took place regarding potential collaborations between the visited institutions and our Higher Vocational College.
