The Countryside and Landscape Management Programme is a short-cycle, practically oriented higher education programme lasting 2 years. It is a 120 credit point programme according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), reaching level 5B in International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED). The completion of course requirements, practical training requirements, and defence of a diploma thesis lead to an engineering diploma and title.
Higher Vocational College of School Centre Nova Gorica offers excellent study conditions and modern equipment in school lecture rooms and laboratories, as well as in the registered companies providing on-the-job training. Lectures, practical classes (seminars and laboratory exercises) and on-the-job training are divided in equal parts, so less than one third of classes are held in lecture rooms.
The programme includes studies from all areas relevant to rural development. Elective modules focus on the knowledge in the field of viticulture and wine production, plant protection, tourism and marketing.
Admission Requirements
Anyone who has completed upper-secondary school education (i.e. ISCED level 3A or 3B) can enrol in a Higher Vocational College programme.
